Twins and a toddler- Eating Out

"...Party of 5, 2 high chairs and 1 booster"

This is what I usually ask for on those occasions that we are able to take our family out for a meal at a restaurant. The hostess usually looks at my family with a look of surprise at seeing two babies and then examines the table chart of the restaurant. Occasionally, consultation is needed with another hostess or waiter to determine proper placement. Then, we are usually seated.

My husband and I are pretty easy to please in general. However, when we do go out to eat, we do have our requirements.

We make sure we eat at restaurants that are big enough for all five of us. We have restaurants that we absolutely adore but do not frequent as often because a) the restaurant is so small; they only have 2 high chairs max, one of which is probably already being used or b) if we forego the high chair issue and have the babies stay in their car seat carriers, the tables or booths are not spacious enough to accommodate them.

As a result, the restaurants that we are able to enjoy are the ones where we can spread out with all of our gear and still have enough room to eat. Bonus points if there are actually enough high chairs and boosters for our kids and we don't have to use carseats.

And extra super bonus points if the food comes out in a relatively quick manner, or better yet  is already cooked. Buffet's and $6 burger joints that are one step above a drive through is where you can find us.
